Asisi Panometer
The Asisi Panometer also known as Leipzig Panometer, is a visual panorama displayed inside a former gasometer, accompanied by a thematic exhibition. In the commotion of the Battle of the Nations from 3rd of August 2013, Yadegar Asisis monumental 360°-Panorama shows Leipzig after the Battle of the Nations.
So far the panoramic pictures have been 105 metres (344 ft) in circumference and around 30 metres (98 ft) in height, making them currently the largest such pictures in the world.

Bach Museum
The Bach Museum also known as Bach Archiv, is located at the southern Thomaskirchhof (St. Thomas' Churchyard). The Archiv's museum dealt exclusively with Bach's relationship to Leipzig.
The museum presents the life and works of Johann Sebastian Bach and his family in an interactive multimedia exhibition covering an area of 750 square metres. One of the highlights is the treasure room, where original Bach manuscripts and other precious items are on display.

City Hochhaus
City-Hochhaus also known as Panorama Tower, is 36-storey skyscraper in Leipzig. It is the tallest multistory building in Leipzig having height of 142 m (466 ft). The tower was designed by architect Hermann Henselmann in the shape of an open book, and built between 1968 and 1972.
City-Hochhaus was originally part of the University of Leipzig campus at Augustusplatz. The building is nicknamed Weisheitszahn (wisdom tooth) by locals as due to its form or after its previous function as Uniriese (university giant).

Gewandhaus
Gewandhaus is a concert hall in Leipzig, the home of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. The Gewandhaus Orchestra is the oldest municipal concert orchestra in the world. The orchestra had its origins in the concert society called the Grand Concert founded by 16 merchants in 1743.

Grassi Museum
The Grassi Museum is a home for three museums: The Ethnography Museum, Musical Instruments Museum and Applied Arts Museum. It is sometimes known as the Museums in the Grassi or New Grassi Museum.
The Leipzig Museum of Ethnography is a large ethnographic museum in Leipzig with over 200,000 objects.
Musical Instruments Museum is one of the largest music instrument museums in Europe, alongside those of Brussels and of Paris. Its collection of around 10,000 objects includes valuable instruments from Europe and beyond, as well as music-related items from the Renaissance, the Baroque, and Bach's Leipzig period.
Applied Arts Museum is the second oldest museum of decorative arts in the country founded just six years after the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin. The museum owns around 90,000 items, of European and non-European origin, featuring decorative art from all eras since antiquity.

Leipzig Botanical Garden
Leipzig Botanical Garden is a botanical garden maintained by the University of Leipzig. It is the oldest botanical garden in Germany and among the oldest in the world.
Today the garden contains a total of some 7,000 species, of which nearly 3,000 species comprise ten special collections.
Since 1998, the Botanical Garden has one more animal attraction, The Butterfly House enjoys every year during the summer months very popular especially with the younger visitors.

Leipzig Zoo
The Leipzig Zoological Garden or the Leipzig Zoo, was opened in Leipzig on June 9, 1878. It covers about 225,000 square metres (56 acres) and contains approximately 850 different species. The zoo is internationally noted for its spectacular building projects and its large carnivore exhibit.

Mendelssohn House
The Mendelssohn House is a historically unique site of both national and international significance. The House contains the last (and only surviving) residence of the composer Felix Mendelssohn and is now a museum in honor of Mendelssohn.
Since 2006, the Mendelssohn House is a member of the Association of Musicians museums in Germany.

Monument to Battle of Nations
The Monument to the Battle of the Nations also known as Völkerschlachtdenkmal and Battle of the Nations, is a monument to the 1813 Battle of Leipzig. The monument commemorates Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig.
The structure is 91 metres (299 ft) tall. It contains over 500 steps to a viewing platform at the top, from which there are
spectacular views across the city and environs. The monument is widely regarded as one of the best examples of Wilhelmine architecture.

Museum at Round Corner
Museum at the Round Corner also known as Museum in der Runde Ecke, is the former seat of the District Administration of State Security.
The building where for 40 years the Stasi had its headquarters for the district of Leipzig now houses the Runde Ecke Memorial Museum. Runde Ecke (Round Corner) refers to the rounded shape of the corner where the main entrance to the building is located.

New Town Hall
Leipzig New Town Hall also known as Neues Rathaus, is the seat of the Leipzig city administration since 1905. It is situated at the southwest corner of Leipzig's old town. It's a monumental building in the style of the German Late Renaissance (by H. Licht, 1899-1905).

Old Town Hall
The Old Town Hall also known as Altes Rathaus was built in 1556 in the Renaissance style. Until 1904 the Old Town Hall was home of the city administration. Then it became home of the city museum. It houses a museum of the city's history.
The tower, with a Baroque crown, is placed asymmetrically over the main entrance. Above the entrance is a roofed balcony for public announcements and proclamations, where the town trumpeters, in traditional costume, emerge at weekends.

Opera House
The Leipzig Opera House is one of the most important cultural institutions in Eastern Germany. It combines three institutions: the Opera House, Leipzig Ballet and the Musical, Operetta House also known as the Musical Comedy.
The Leipzig Opera traces its establishment to the year 1693, making it the third oldest opera venue in Europe after La Fenice (Venice, Italy) and the Hamburg State Opera (Hamburg, Germany).

Nikolaikirche
The St. Nicholas Church also known as Nikolaikirche, has long been one of the most famous in Leipzig. It is named after St. Nicholas, the patron saint of merchants and wholesalers.
The church was built around 1165 and is situated in the very heart of the city on the intersection of two then important trade roads.

St. Thomas Church
The St. Thomas Church also known as Thomaskirche, is a Lutheran church in Leipzig. The St. Thomas Church is one of 2 houses of worship in Leipzig’s city center. It is one of the earliest places in Europe, which documented organ music during church services.
It is most famous as the place where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a Kapellmeister, and as the current location of his remains.
