Arctic-alpine Botanic Garden
The Arctic-alpine Botanic Garden is the world's northernmost botanic garden, located in Tromso, Norway, and is run by the Tromso University Museum.
The garden features arctic, antarctic and alpine plants from all continents.It is home to thousands of plant species from all parts of the world. The emphasis is, however, on plants from the polar regions or the high mountains, which have difficulty surviving in the milder climates where most botanical gardens are located.
The garden is ranked among the top five botanical gardens in th world.

Arctic Cathedral
The Arctic Cathedral also known as Ishavskatedralen, Tromsdalen Church or Tromsøysund Church is probably most famous landmark in Tromso. It is designed by architect Jan Inge Hovig.
The church was built in 1965 in the Tromsdalen valley and it is a parish church and not, in fact, a cathedral as it is commonly called. Because of the church's distinct look and situation, it has often been called the opera house of Norway.

Fjellheisen Cable Car
Fjellheisen Cable Car up to Mount Storsteinen (421m/1382ft) gives a fantasticview of Tromso. The Cable Car is located across the bridge from Tromso in Tromsdalen, and from the city center it is approximately 2.5 kms.

Polaria
Polaria is the world's most northerly aquarium. Its centerpiece is an open pool containing a group of bearded seals, Erignathus barbatus. These are trained and there are regular displays, as much to keep the animals active and healthy as for public entertainment.
The building itself is also worthy of note. Its striking design represents ice floes that have been pressed up on land by the rough seas of the Arctic.

Polar Museum
The Polar Museum or Polarmuseet, situated in a wharf house from 1837, presents Tromso's past as a center for Arctic hunting and starting point for Arctic expeditions.
It presents polar seafaring tradition. At the museum you will meet men, women, ships and equipment that were essential for life on the sea and in the Arctic.
